San Francisco Writes

On May 3rd, San Francisco Writes held its first poetry slam . Three middle schools participated Visitacion Valley, San Francisco Community school and Martin Luther King middle school . Five adult judges consisting of Performing Arts Workshop staff and teaching artists judged the event. Maria Fico from Global Writes was on hand to support the event.

Ms Leichams’s class from Martin Luther King Middle School came in first place!
